Bloggers Anonymous

I have grown weary of the blogosphere.

There are too many people hiding behind anonymity taking cheap shots at people who are working very hard to make the community a better place.

I don't mind disagreement, debate and constructive criticism. However, for the time being, I feel that the ad hominem attacks, rumor mongering, and simple hatefulness outweighs the constructive dialogue.

I'm signing off, at least for now. People who want to communicate with me can do so by phone, email, snail mail, fax, or even in person. All I ask is that you tell me who you are.

Anyone know of a twelve step program for detoxing out of the blogosphere?

After the last election most folks assumed that the campaign issues (infrastructure items) would become a reality sooner than later. Can you fill us in on why streetscape is getting all the attention. Is it fair to say that a select few "still" set the tone for all ? What is the reality of the process that we can't see ?

Streetscape gets all the attention because that's what the WAM gives attention to.

The WAM has had a story about things for developers and special interests as its lead off just about every day now for a week. They should just offer Mindy Tate a job to take over and get it over with.

Oh please. Offer Mindy Tate a job? Why, so we can read exclusively about the Heritage Foundation and Franklin's social scene in every article? It's the same people every week. Nothing original. That paper she runs has been run into the ground already and is a waste of trees. We don't need another magazine like it in Franklin.

Sounds like 7:29 just described the board of aldermen. Is there really a difference?
