I hate to say I told you so,
but I did.
There will be no closing on the CCOF property tomorrow.
One might think this would merit some official press release or something, but the silence from City Hall is deafening.
The beavers are becoming an increasingly sticky wicket, too. They now have lawyers. Well, the beavers and the "wetland" now have lawyers.
Stay tuned.

It was so much easier when it was a golf course.
How much more will miller and his delusions of grandeur cost us?
It looks like the beavers has more more balls than the golfers do!!!!
This was in the heritage A.M. yesterday:
The release of the federal money is contingent upon the placement of a conservation easement on the roughly 110 acres in order to restrict its future uses except as a battlefield park. The city has been in negotiations with the land's owner, Rod Heller, a preservationist and descendant of the Civil War-era owners of the land, about the sale.
Once all the paperwork and restrictions are in place, the closing would occur — likely in 2006.

I think it's pretty indicative of what's wrong with this mayor and city government, a realty 'expert' making good money off of cheaply built houses like those in Westhaven, but can't close the deal in a real land sale.
Hate to say it but I warned you this was going to happen.
